How To: Prevent Blogger from tracking your own views to your blog

This post describes how to block Blogger from counting your own views to your own blog.

As we develop a page or post, we often preview it. Unless we tell blogger not to count it, each time we visit our own blog it will show up as a visit in the statistics. This can mask the actual number of views from others, which is usually the important data we want.

This tutorial was developed with the assistance of the official Google support page.

To stop Blogger from counting your visits to your own site perform the following:

1.    Open Blogger AND select the desired blog.
2.    From the left-side menu bar, select "Stats"

4.    Click on the "Don't track my views for this blog" chicklet.
